Problems with usb ports and express card slot

Just one more thing, just before I left the house for work, I got the blue screen warning, and that has never happened on that machine before, I think the driver I installed is conflicting with something else, not had chance to investigate that as I had to go to work.

That could be possible, I found the driver by chance on a German forum so I am not sure what else we could use

Seems I have come to a halt, I've tried everything, and nothing has fixed it, I've just bought a FireWire to USB adaptor to see I can atleast connect my iPod and iPhone via the FireWire port, I'm hoping this works, otherwise I think I will have send it to a laptop repair shop, and that will no doubt cost a lot of money!!

Beginning to wish I'd not bought the bloody thing and waited a dew more weeks and bought a brand-new one, that way none of this would of happened as I wouldn't of needed the extra storage space on my old HDD's!!

Sorry to hear this, it looks like the motherboard did take damage I doubt that a repair will be worth it, but you can at least ask.
I hope the firewire idea works

I gave up with it in the end, could not get the USB Or express slot to work, then I got the blue screen of death, and to top it off, the screen stopes working.

So instead of wasting anymore time and money, I cut my losses, and bought a brand-new samsung rb510 laptop, with 3gb of memory and 500 gb harddrive, with windows 7 home premium 64bit.

Thanks to all who tried to help, and offers me advice.
