Process Explorer v15.12

Ever wondered which program has a particular file or directory open? Now you can find out. Process Explorer shows you information about which handles and DLLs processes have opened or loaded.

This update to Process Explorer makes the search dialog asynchronous and reports the types of found items. It also fixes several bugs, including showing a small font when run after an older version, a bug in the restart-process functionality, working set columns not showing data, and again shows information about service processes when run from an unprivileged user account.

Autoruns for Windows v11.21

This utility, which has the most comprehensive knowledge of auto-starting locations of any startup monitor, shows you what programs are configured to run during system bootup or login, and shows you the entries in the order Windows processes them. These programs include ones in your startup folder, Run, RunOnce, and other Registry keys. You can configure Autoruns to show other locations, including Explorer shell extensions, toolbars, browser helper objects, Winlogon notifications, auto-start services, and much more. Autoruns goes way beyond the MSConfig utility bundled with Windows Me and XP.

This update to Autoruns fixes a number of minor bugs, including one that could result in a crash when certain scheduled tasks are configured.

TIP: If you put Autoruns and Process Explorer in the same folder, if you right click on an item in Autoruns, Process Explorer will now be a choice in the context menu. You can then get more information for a particular item.

Great little program. I use it to replace task manager. Process explorer that is.
