The main focus of my search is for a utility that will allow the setting and saving of process priority via simple right-click through task manager. I had my eye on PRIO as it looked to do just that while also offering the bonus of a convenient UAC auto-elevation option. Unfortunately it looks not to have been supported since 2012. I aborted installation when it began looking like some of the options may be Vista only.

Forum search resulted in only a few related threads, most of which were quite dated. I'm hoping there may currently be additional options.

Some years ago I tried PRIO on Windows 7 and it seemed to work well. If it was supported up until 2012 it is highly probable that it fully supported Windows 7, which after all was released in 2009. The reference to Vista may have been to Vista and later. The documentation may not have been updated.

I am not currently using it as I have no need for it.

There are some stand alone utilities that can set process priority but I know of none that work through Task Manager.

Thanks again LMiller7!

Sharing your personal experience prompted me to give it a try and I have to say it does seem to be fully functional on Win7/64.

Sorry if I seemed anal about not installing the app and testing myself but the computer it's being use on is mission critical for work and I try to install only 100% necessary apps in effort to keep it as clean as possible.
