This is a good alternative for a mini PC for streaming video.
I was using WD TV (1st gen) from Western Digital for playing HD video, Audio and Photos from USB connected external HDDs, for the last 3 years and was very happy with the performance. This had HDMI, Composite output and Optical audio to connect to a home theatre.
Three days ago, upgraded to
WD TV Live Streaming Media Player (3rd gen), with HDMI output and streaming capabilities. This player now comes with Wi-Fi (b,g,n).
