Processor slowed down in Windows 7

Hi everybody,

I was using windows XP in my notebook HP nc6400 and I changed to windows 7 few days ago.

There is a very annoying problem when i using windows 7

In the first few minutes after i start the windows, it runs perfectly.

But, about 10 minutes later, it started to slow down in everything.

browsing website, opening file explorer, even turning on the task manager.

I made few tests to find out what the problem is and finally i can make a conclusion:

The CPU is over heated after 10 minutes of using the notebook
and windows 7 slows down the processor automatically.


When I am using windows XP, no matter how high the temperature of my CPU is, its never slow down the processor but now it happens in windows 7!!

I have tried to change the power setting in control panel (system cooling policy) but nothing gonna be changed.

I am so annoying by this problem because i just cannot use my notebook after i started the windows 10 minutes after...

Could somebody told me the way to stop the automatically cooling policy.
I am not caring about the over heat problem because my notebook going well even if it is overheated in windows XP.

The bad thing is that my windows XP recovery CD is damaged.
I am unable to restore my windows XP....

Why is your computer overheating? Fix that!
Get a can of compressed air and clean out the vents.

...I am not caring about the over heat problem because my notebook going well even if it is overheated in windows XP.

You better care unless you want to buy a new computer.

Because this is the notebook, I cannot open the case of it to clean....( strange shape of screw all over the case....)

I have bought an expensive cooling pad.
but the CPU temperature were always equal to 95 degree even if i am using it...
i have no idea....

Get a vacume hose and clean out your exhaust vents. The place you normaly feel air blowing out of. Then turn your laptop over and clean out where the fan is.
Your heatsink is probably clogged and you will probably need to get it serviced if none of this helps.

I have tried to open th case of my notebook and cleaning out the dust( actually that's not many so i think it's doesn't help much

So I start my windows again and the problem still stick with me...

Is there any other ways to stop my windows 7 downclock my CPU?

I feel so frustrated that I cannot recover to my windows XP...
