Hi, I got a new headset (Microsoft's lx-3000), but when I play a game in full screen and I try adjusting sound volume with the +/- buttons on my headset it minimize the game, full screen program or even youtube video in full screen mode.

When it minimizes, it shows a sound bar in the middle of my screen.

So now I just avoid the +/- on my headset, but when I accidently press it while playing a video or game and it minimizes , it really gets on my nerves.

Can anybody help me please?

Thank you :-)

nobody has a clue of what could be the problem?

I have an hypothesis, could it be because my headset is from microsoft and since I am using windows 7, when I change the main volume with the headset buttons windows 7 create a ''window'' showing the main volume of my computer????????

Thank you!!

hen I change the main volume with the headset buttons windows 7 create a ''window''

It isn't Windows that is creating a window, it is the Lifechat software that is creating it. Try poking around in the Lifrchat settings and see if there is any way to disable the onscreen volume. If not does the headset work without the Lifechat software (still get sound, mic works, etc, when it is set as the default playback and recording device)? If it does work without, if there isn't anything else that requires the Lifechat software I would just uninstall it and use the headset without.
