I go with the homemade method. Create a simple txt file with notepad (which I call serial.txt, creatively) , with the key from the activation email/COA stikcer/purchase certificate/whatever, together with the installer, and backup those (BTW, you must always backup the installers too). When the need of reinstall comer along, I got the installer and the key handy. No more cience than that.

Everest can help you recover your program keys, in left column, look for "Programs" category, and then choose "Licences" subcategory, all your programs, that use a serial number will be listed in there... (Sorry, spanish screenshot... :( )
Now, this won't work if you use VL type licences, as they are reactivated every 180 days (you pay for reactivation at that time)

If Everest can't help you, try AIDA64, it's 64 bit sucesor... I don't know if free versions (30 day triel if I'm not mistaken) allow you see this info, if not...
14 Free Product Key Finder Programs

This seems to be a good list of options.

Hope this helps

See ya!! :)

Cooling solutions:
- AVC @ 2000/5000 RPM Copper Heatpipes (For Athlon 64 X2 6000+ CPU used in an Athlon 64 X2 5200+)
- Rear Fan 80 mm @ 2700 RPM for heat extraction
- Manhatan Chipset Cooler @ 4700/7200 RPM (For nVidia Chipset in MoBo)
- Foxconn @ 2500 RPM (Old Pentium III heatsink fan) in XFX ATI Radeon HD 4350
I have a Software node in Keepass where I create entries for each software package that has a key, and I record all my product keys in the Comments sections. Makes it easy to copy and paste when I need to reinstall.
