Many of my program text links in the task bar (Default devices for example) and notifcation windows such as Open Action Center, and many text program links when I do a search for say example Firewall do not work. I can get to most using cpl commands or going through the control panel icons but some I cannot acces such as the WEI etc. I don't have the ability to do a restore. Anyone else had this problem?

Windows 7 Pro X64 BTW - Any help welcolme

I would try an alternate browser, lets say FF FireFox. Its free and can be downloaded

You can also try removing all the add on, currently on your browser Tools....Manage add ons.

If that does not work, we can try other remedies.

This is / was not the problem. It is not a browser issue. I tracked it down to many of the DLL's became unregistered. To make my life easier I did a repair doccumented in the Win 7 forums using the install disc to do an upgrade which retains every thing and has made my machine actually faster :) Thanks for your comments though.
