"Program needs to be run as Admin" I AM!!

When I try to run certain programs they say the need to be run as an adminstrator and fail to execute properly. The thing is I'm running them as an administrator. build 7000 64 bit.

There are two layers of Administrator in Vista and Windows 7. Right click the .exe file and select "Run as Administrator". This is done so that malware can not run from within an Administrator account.

And those prompts aren't telling you they're not being run as admin. It's just reminding you that the patch won't work if it isn't run with admin privileges.

Right click > run as administrator

Hello my friends !
Is it possible to set a program to ALWAYS open as administrator???

I click on it and set run as admin but then i check back and the run as admin is unchecked again! strange!!

Also is it possible to make a shortcut to a file that will open it as administrator???

Not sure if this is exactly what your after, but if you set this up, you won't be prompted by the UAC anymore.

Thanks for tip OEM but i want to do something else ...

i want to run a program as administrator from cmd

so i write to execute a file

"C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\Portables\Portablesoft.exe -?????"

????? = run as admin arguments
