Program Recovery ?

Hello,

A month or so ago, I did a real dumb-dumb and uninstalled and deleted a software program. Don't have the CD for it.

Seem to be zillions of data recovery, file recovery, type of programs available, both free and for a cost.

But for the free ones anyway (the costly ones claim "everything" recoverable) seem to imply "only" Files and Data recovery.

Any good free programs out there that you folks might know of that can possibly
recover an actual Program, not just a WORD type of document file or data document, etc. ? A true Program is what I need to recover if possible.

Really don't want to play around with Restore-Points, and probably mess up everything I've done since them.

Or, is it quite likely that the space the Program used has probably been partially or totally overwritten by now ?

Much Thanks,
Bob

Everything that is deleted remains on the hard drive, just hidden. As you use the computer the space gets overwritten, the more you use the computer the less the possiblity of recovery. Trust me, if you just delted it, you will not get hurt with a qucick system restore. If problems do occur, each system restore gives the method to get bacik I would use system restore.

richc46- It may be too late for you to recover the program that you lost, but if in the future you back up your computer with freeware Macrium Reflect you will be able to restore a complete image. Reflect is also able to mount the image as a drive which will allow you to cherry pick any individual program you like from within the image and restore it to your computer.
