Hi, some of my programs/games can't save to a folder unless I run them as admin; is there a better way ?

For example: a game can not store files in c:/program files/the game/userdata

It's annoying to have tun run them as admin.

Thank you.

Hi Noekk, welcome to the Seven Forums.

By default, Seven protects system folders Windows, Program Files and in 64-bit editions also the Program Files (x86). Without built-in administrator rights, you can not save on those folders. If an installed application insists to write userdata to its own program folder instead of Username\AppData, and the application has not an option to change userdata folder, a simple workaround is to create a new folder to root of your drive and install apps there. For instance you could create a folder C:\Games, and install your game there.
