Okay, I have Windows 7 64-bit (I believe it's just the Home Edition). I have an hp laptop. I've had this computer for less than a year. My main problem is that within the last few days, everything I run is very slow, and in the title bar, Ill keep getting the (Not Responding) message, and the window will fade. This usually only lasts a few seconds, but it's quite inconvenient, and it happens over and over again. Sometimes, it seems that the more graphics or info there is on pages - such as amazon, facebook, or similar - it moves even slower and freezes many more times. I havent [yet] had a Blue Screen Of Death. Only a few times have I had to use the Task Manager to end a program. I've never had to improperly shut down my computer as a result.

I've tried running both SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition, as well as Reanimator, and unless Im doing something wrong, even after removing threats - my programs are sill very slow...

I hope this was thorough enough. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

First we need your system specs.

Then you should check in event viewer
There are several ways to find what the problem is. The best is to go into event viewer (type eventvwr in search). Go to the windows log>application tab.

You want to look for critical errors (they have red in the left column ).

When you find them you want to look for critical errors that say app hang, app crash, or anything that relates to the problem.

When you find them please note the event ID, and the source codes and tell us what they are.

Let us know if you need help with any of this.

I got all of this from the sticker on the bottom of the laptop, I hope it's enough - let me know if theres anything else you need. Not sure if I'd know where to find it.

Also, Im currently going thru the Event Viewer (as suggested) to find the errors/warnings. If theres more than one error/warning with the same Source and Event ID, should I list them all, or just once?

Thanks for your help thusfar!

EDIT:

This is what I found with the Event Viewer --
