Hi,

Can anyone advise please? I am finding often that when I am running programs that even whilst they are running I get a response at the top of the program especially when I use Pro Tools say that it is not responding. I have adjusted my hard drives so that they don't go to sleep after a set period so why is it that I am constantly receiving this error?

Thanks Steve

Not sure what Pro Tools is but if PT is not running, do u still have the same prob? be good to see some system specs too - an upgrade of an OS or a clean/brand new machine ?

Hi,

I have attached a sisoft sandra spec report. This happens a lot on mine. It is not just this program. It almost seems like there isn't enough memory or processsor power and it is waiting to catch up which is ludicrous if you see my self built pc is powerful.

Pro Tools is an industry standard music sequencer for creating music. The system problem happens with Outlook 2010 too amongst others.

I am not experienced enough to assist here but I notice you had trouble deleting some folders two weeks ago in a previous post. Various solutions were offerd but there was no further response from yourself. Is that problem resolved or still outstanding. Not suggesting there is a connection but computers are funny old things!

Yes I resolved that issue in the end. I had to transfer all of my files across to the other drives and reformat that drive. It was the only way that I could do it.

Apologies, I should have dropped a post here thanking for the advise.

Hi,

I still have not resolved this issue. I am trying to use another music sequencer now and it was inputting some data and suddenly froze stating Reaper is not responding. I get this so often.

Does anyone else have similar problems?

Thanks.

Using Cubase 5.......same issue. In fact, happens right across the board, all progs. The more I read about it the more I'm totaly convinced this is a Microsoft Software issue. Way too common on so many machines, so many configurations, so many progs, so many different people.............only one common denominator - Windows 7 (any version)
