Proper Method for Uninstalling Windows for Later Use?

I have removed all necessary files from each user account on the Win7 install so, I am ready to replace it with the new, smaller OS. However, I have realized I do not know how to properly remove Windows to ensure it authenticates correctly when I install it on another computer. Here is some background information on my situation:

I have searched in the installed OS for clues to this question but have not identified any obvious answers. Is the solution to my question as simply as connecting the USB DVD drive and installing the installation CD for Windows? I hope it's not that easy...

Perhaps F11 from the desktop?

Roy,

My CD states it is a student and faculty version so, I already know it it not an OEM version (i.e., motherboard constraint).

Never give up! It appears all you need to do is to remove the data you desire to keep then install the new OS regardless of what the new OS is. I found this on the Microsoft website. Examples are discussed.

I will wait to see if I get objections but, it appears I have solved my issue.
