Prosteruk PC Wireless Gaming Receiver not working??

I just bought this gaming receiver for Xbox 360 controllers.
First of all, the setup wouldn't run "due to compatibility issues". So I went and installed from this page and still it didn't work. When I plug the receiver into my laptop the green light flashes, as does the ring on the Xbox controller when I turn it on, but nothing more happens.
Also, I don't think it even detects the receiver (see image).
I don't know what to do!

try running on compatibility mode windows xp 32bit should be fine, as well as run as an administrator when installing.
