PSE won't open in screen

About a week ago I went to back up my photoshop catalog-I choose a destination path and then the app disappeared from the screen. When I hover over the taskbar icon it shows me the app but I cannot get it to open up to fill the screen. I've tried everything I can think of-each time I open it I get the intial screen I click on 'organize' the app disappears but it is sitting in the taskbar-I can even see my first photo in my album when I hover over the icon.

I don't find anyone else having this issue-thoughts?
