Long story short, my new Vaio Z stopped finding drivers for new hardware. I can't connect my Sprint Overdrive via USB (drivers are in the device). I have allowed Windows Update to find drivers but it doesn't....just immediately goes to unable to install drivers.

Any advice or tips for getting it to find the correct drivers?? I've also tried going into the device center and updating, but that doesn't do anything either...

You will need to download the drivers.... what model specifically is the Sprint Overdrive

U600 or U301 or something else?

I should have added...this isn't JUST the overdrive, it was just the example I was using. I cannot connect my phone as a disk drive, I can't read SD cards, etc...

I have used the overdrive before for USB tethering, but now it doesn't want to find the drivers. It's supposed to install the drivers when you plug it in. Bothering me even more is that it won't recognize my phone anymore..and when I stick my SD in, it wants to format it...

My question is, how do I get to the root of the issue of it not wanting to install the correct drivers? Is it possible the generic drivers got deleted??
