Query installing Firefox on Windows7

I have a new Toshiba X500-10T, can someone advise me if Firefox is suitable for this. I test my website with Firefox etc and did try to install it but the version I downloaded installed but would not run and gave me an error box that asked me to complete my details and send to Firefox, I have had no reply. What version should I be downloading - a link would be apprerciated if any one has a working version on Windows7. I asked Toshiba but told Firefox is not supported by them.
