Query - pest site

Have obviously down loaded a rotten little app that I don't like one bit with a version of CC or whatever.

It is called Websearch and the address is "http://igb.toolbarhome.com" and I can't get rid of it through Programs and features - any ideas anyone as I just don't want it.

is it some toolbar thing that attaches itself to internet explorer?

you may be able to disable it via tools >> manage add-ons

that won't uninstall it, but should stop it running.

i really don't want to download it to check it out, but it may also show up in the startup tab of msconfig.

type msconfig into your startmenu searchbox >> click the link that shows up in the search results >> startup tab >> untick the box if it's in the list there.

alternatively, try a malware remover such as malwarebytes - that may get rid of it - the free version should be ok - you won't have to pay.

as i said, i don't want to download this toolbar and test myself.
