Query re HW Info downloader

Am a big fan of HW Info program and out of interest I ran a scan for BIOS updates from the main screen of the application.

Now it came up with 24% of my drivers being out of date as was the BIOS also - so my query is has anyone used this application before and thoughts on it please.

Generally, but not all, of these type programs show outdated drivers that are not really outdated.

Check the hardware vendors (or motherboard) for any updated drivers.

Also, keep in mind that many times a driver update is to fix a specific problem, or add support for new hardware and if it is not applicable to you there is no need for the driver update. And, the old adage "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies to drivers.

Thanks Jack I agree with what you say wholeheartedly re if it ain't broke the only ones that are new on the Toshiba site are the BIOS and the Toshiba bloat sort of stuff and the BIOS is something I am loathe to change unless I really have to.
