Have searched for a thread but cannot find one close so....

Have just got IE9 RC on and tonight Google is telling me I cannot access Youtube without having a Google account.

Is this a genuine ask?/ as I feel that if it is that Google is taking a damn liberty - is there a way around it? and if not an alternative as I have been watching a lot of PC build vids on YT and now have to do this!!

Am really extremely angry at this action they deem to be necessary and I see just another way of Google tracking us!! Am seriously thinking of going Bing or Firebird at least I can avoid this meglomaniacal search engine from world domination!!!

Hello Bill so what I can see you have a Google account already? As that is something I din't want to have to set up as I see it as an invasion of my choice of sites I can go to without "asking" permission, like we did when we were younger and asked Mum or Dad if we could go out to play.

Plus being a little on the paranoid side I am pretty damn angry that Google has done this as a possible way of tracking what one does. Seems to me that hey want to own and control everything and I just plain don't like it one bit.

I just signed in to You Tube as usual. I have no Google account. I'm not sure what a Google account is.

Ah, I have Chrome as my back up browser maybe that is why.

Very strange occurence though.
