Question about backup and my programes

I would like to have the folowing question asked:
If I do a back up of my computer and use it later will the programes be affected? I mean will my currently instaled programes run as perfectly after the back up as they do now?

If you make a system image copy, then restore it later, everything in the system will work exactly as they did when you made the image.
