Question about Cooling Fans

I have also recently bought 2 Sunon Fan DP200A

They have a power connect that is like a 2 pin male, and either side is a squeeze clip. I'm so sorry i don't know the name and i cant find a image on google. I was wondering if this can be cut off and a normal 4 pin power supply plug fitted, or even better, to be added to the Pins on the Motherboard for the fan.

If this can be done, what cables go where?

Voltage Rating 220V|240V
Power Rating 22W|21W
AC FAN 230V

Someone has already said it needs to use mains power? I want to keep these as they have unbelievable air flow, and there the best quality.

This may be able to help some in wiring it as a 4-pin molex connector instead. There are also 2-pin to 4-pin adapters avaialable as well if you didn't want to wire it yourself.

Looking at the images in the link and below can help show you the proper wiring for it.

Even though my fan is rated at 24V AC, this will still be ok?

I was totally unaware they did adaptors for such things :S

I'm not sure that it would be enough power to run it since it's a AC fan. You would be better off getting a normal 12V or 5V computer case fan instead.

Dam... The quality is next to nothing on these fans. I have ordered 4 as well.

My best bet is to send them back for a refund? But it quite clearly says its suitable for computing.

Yeah, AC fans would be more powerful, but it would be a lot easier to use standard 12V computer fans.

Could you go ahead and post a link to the page where it says this for us to look at?

Well firstly the case of the fan is made from metal, the fins of the fan are made from ultra tough ABS plastic and the bearings are ceramic, the fan runs so freely and with even a little spin with your finger, the blades spin for a decent length of time.

I have bought 2 Akasa AK-FN059 After reading the reviews, it scored highly in airflow and noise.

I am also planning to buy 4x MECHATRONICS F8025X12B1 80MM Fans, as these have such great airflow and ultra quiet.
