Hello,
sorry if i posted in the wrong topic.

i have a dedicated Windows Web Server 2008 R2. The only Roll which is Installed on the server is IIS7.5

I have been told that its not allowed to use VPN to my Dedicated server over RDP to make Adminstrativ tasks. The VPN i have made uses onboard tools of the Webserver Package. So i was not conform of that not to be allowed of using 1 VPN connection to my Server.

After searching i could find this:

Windows Standard vs. Web Server - Dedicated Server - Web Hosting Talk

where it says
<Yaramon> Windows Web server allows only 1 concurrent VPN connections.

That means for me. It is allowed and desired to do that.

Can anybody confirm this please?

Welcome to Seven Forums,

Yes, Windows Web server only allows one concurrent VPN connection. You should consider moving your IIS to a Standard or Enterprise Windows Server that will also function a few server roles, of course if there's a budget and planning to upgrade your server in the future. :D
