Question on installing programs in admin mode

Is it better to use the Administrator account to set up my programs and log out of it when I'm done setting them up, or does it even make a difference since it says I'm an administrator and can use the administrator by right clicking on the installation setup...I'm trying to understand just one thing, should all programs be setup under the administrator by either method and create a standard user to run them, cause even though your running it as administrator isn't that a security risk, shouldn't you screate a standard user and use that account?:huh:

You are going to be kept quite busy keeping up with your two accounts.

The first thing I do when I install WIndows is enable the hidden adminsitrator account, log off, log back in as Administrator, delete my named account in User Accounts, then run as Administrator full time.

I cannot see that I lose any level of security by doing this since I already know what I am doing.

What I do lose is being second guessed on every thing, having access to files forbidden, and just about any other annoyance that once gave my computer more control over itself than it allowed me.

I believe you should generally install software while logged on to an admin account.
I think standard user accounts are good for others using your PC and even for yourself if you're just starting out.
I don't know the definite answer to the security question. I have up to date security in place and if/when it bites I can recover.

Apparently running a program from a standard account with admin privileges is generally but not always the same as running from an admin account.
For Norton NIS2011 I find most of the "settings" functions are only accessible from within an admin account.

Thanks mjf appreciated for you comment. I have felt in the past I have always been very careful when it come to security and it is a pain switching between the two accounts. I have had adobe acrobat do so many weird things when trying to install updates and stuff when you have installed as an administrator but the updates aren't updating with admin privileges so I believe the best way to go and I have done it as gregrocker has done it before, I just wasn't absolutely sure if it was the way to go....
