I recently preordered Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade. The thing is that i have 2 laptops which i want to install W7 on one is a 32 bit and the other is a 64 bit, both of which have the respective Vista OS on it. Will the UPGRADE versions of W7 ship with both setups for 32 bit and 64 bit?

They're supposed to ship with both the 32-bit and 64-bit media.

However, each key would normally get tied to one machine.

If you're looking for multiple installs, you might want to do the family 3-pack which has 3 home premium upgrades for $150 (or less). It's supposed to be out for a limited time in the fall. Some places are taking pre-orders for that as well.

You are bound by the EULA to install either/or not both at the same time ... to do so is considered piracy by Microsoft...

I recently did an in place upgrade from vista sp2 64 to Windows 7 64. Went very well, except one of the profile got corrupted. Try it when you keys comes and see how it goes, it does take a while to transfer across settings. A clean install is much faster but you have to reinstall everything afterwards and return data etc.
