Quick Launch and Windows7 taskbar

Today I noticed that there is a small problem in the height of the Win7 taskbar if I select Large icons in the Quick Launch toolbar. (before I always used small icons)

In the Large view the Win7 taskbar doesn't fill the space vertically but is aligned to the top leaving some empty space at the bottom.
Please check the attached screenshots to better understand what I mean.

I know is really a small detail, but maybe someone knows a way around it anyway^^

i think that may be a problem due to having names show in the icon. is the space still there if you disable names?

Even taking off the labels didn't change the size

is the taskbar 'locked'? if not, it may just be floating as it thinks you want to edit it.

yeah, even locking or unlocking the taskbar doesn't change the size for me

Yes, it is odd. Yes, I do like my Quick Launch. No, I haven't found an answer yet. My only work around is to try not to look at the Taskbar too much. But I'll watch this thread with interest. It's one of those little niggles that has bugged me for the past 18 months.

I tried to do the same (large size icons Quick Launch toolbar along large icons Taskbar) in my pc at work and in a friend's laptop... but I got the same results as my screenshots.

Ah, ok at least I make sure it's like this for everyone^^
Now just need to decide if make my icons smaller or leave them big

Usually I would prefer smaller too... but my new laptop at home is 1080p so everything is a bit too small already^^ that's why for the first time I even tried to set the icons to large
