I think the designation of XFX or another maker is not important, but that the mobo supports crossfire and the PSU has appropriate power connectors for both Cards. The two cards both 4870 (one ATI the other XFX) should go together, but I can't say for sure if it will work completely.

I am not sure about this. Maybe you can contact the vendor? to see if they need to both be xfx. I would not make any gaurentees that they will work. sometimes cards will only work with identical cards.

As long as the cards are ATI and not Nvidea you can xfire them. you can even put one stronger card with a weaker one but you will take a hit on performance last time i looked into it but i don't recommend it. You cant mix the cards tho you cant mix an xfire with an sli

As long as the cards are the same 4870's 1gb the manufacturer dosen't matter. Even if one card is clocked different it will default to the lowest clocked card. Fabe
