Quick question on a re-install of Windows 7

Thanks in advance for any help on this. I'm getting pretty good at re-installing Windows 7 (Clean) - However I do have a question:

What is the best way to set myself up as the Administrator so I don't constantly have to work around those pesky "You need administrator privileges do do xxx"

I would think that even with setting my default user account as an Administrator, there would be a way to really be an Administrator.

Hello Estochin,

You could enable the built-in Administrator account afterwards, then log on to it to have almost full control.

Turn OFF UAC (User Access Control). You will never be bothered by those prompts again.

The best option is to use the default admin acct and create an elevated shortcut for the programs/apps you use the most, then you can have the best of both worlds; this is how I do it myself.
