Quicktime in Windows 7 v.7000

help!
my os is windows 7 ,and my software longman dictionary needs quicktime to pronounce the words. but it won't work here in my current system(in xp it works well), and I tried the different version of quicktime, but all doesn't work.
I also tried work it in the compatible mood, it doesn't work either。
what can i do ?thanks in advance.

Have you tried Quicktime alternative 2.8, it's working here.

This has nothing to do with running as an administrator.

I am having a similar issue. If I try and use the default .mov viewer in mediaplayer i dotn see a thing...just blank screen.

If I try and install quicktime pro 7.1 after the installation when I try and run it, it says it needs windows 2000 or above to run.

For some reason quicktime is not detecting the version of windows 7 correctly.
