Hi all,

Notebook: MSI GT663R-i7488BLW7P
CPU:
Intel Core i7 740QM
VideoCard: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M 1536 MB
Ram: 12GB DDR3 1333MHz
HDD: 1TB (500GB*2 RAID 0) 7200rpm
Display 15.6 inch, 16:9, 1920x1080 pixels

Windows 7 ultimate x64
hardware all new

Alot of BSODs so I am going for a fresh install...

1/ when my machine was setup it was partitioned which I am a little confused about. I have 2 x 500gb HHD but configured as a raid0 drive . I am not sure how this is working as I have 100gb 400gb 500gb drives showing up in my computer so how does this raid stuff work??

2/ When I reinstall I would like to make the partition smaller maybe 70gb but I dont how to do that either :P

3/ Is there anything special I have to do when installing with this with this raid stuff?

thanks,

Craig

Please post back a screenshot of your full Disk Mgmt drive map, using Snipping Tool in Start Menu. Tell us what you want to do and where and we will advise you better.

If you want to keep the RAID, you can back up your files and make your Recovery Disks, boot the Win7 installer, delete the unwanted partitions using Custom install Drive Options, then create the partitions you want, format and install Win7 to the first partition.
