The only other memory settings I can think of to play around with would be the "max memory" checkbox in msconfig/boot/advanced options and maybe a BIOS setting for memory mapping.
That and swapping the sticks around in the slots.
I suppose the fact that you don't have 4 identical sticks could mean something as well.
