Hello all, i made a little update for my computer changing the motherboard, ram and videocard. The motherboard is Asrock G41M-VS3 R2.0 and the RAM is this Corsair Memory.

It is a ddr3 1333mhz ram memory and my motherboard is supporting 1333mhz ddr3 memory, but when i go in BIOS i see the RAM is running only at 400mhz. WHY it is running on so low frequency? I want at least 1066mhz. :(

How can i increase the frequency? and sorry for my medium quality english. :D

You may have to manually adjust BIOS setting to the above specs. Does your CPU support DDR3 1333 MHz RAM?

Ok, i will take a look in BIOS to make the proper settings.

This is my CPU Intel Penium D 925. I don't know where to look if it is supporting that frequency.

It is currently running at 800 MHz. Don't forget that DDR stands for double data rate, so a setting of 400 in the bios is 800 effective.

To get it to 1333 you have to go into the bios and manually set it there,

Whether you would even notice the difference outside of benchmarks is debatable.

The speed of the RAM is correct. Single channel 1066MHz will run at +355MHz to 533MHz. You want to reach 1066MHz you'll have to get out of Single Channel.

The Double Data Rate effectively doubles the frequency reported by CPU-Z even in single channel. Dual channel allows the Memory controller to address multiple RAM sticks as a single one.

Adjust your RAM volts, timings, and frequency as listed under the JEDEC 3 column. If you have no setting for tRAS or tRC, it's fine.
