RAM needed pls

Hi, can someone help find me some RAM for Asus p5n-d motherboard?

My desktop is not loading properly and i tried reinstalling win 7 but when i get to the boot priority it freezes.

I cannot reach the desktop screen either. It keeps freezing at the beginning.

Im after more memory but i can't seem to find.

i would like 2gb RAM or even another one to make it 4gb. But 2gb should be fine.

I tried to find your motherboard at Asus.com and could not.

Do you have any reason to believe that your problems are related to RAM?

You can buy want you need from Crucial
There online scanner will tell you exactly what you need.
Once you know you can buy from them or shop around, good luck

That means you can have 2 4GB sticks for a maximum of 8 GB

So go ahead...... AddRAM

But that`s not gonna help your issue. You have some other problem.

TechSeven you can try with a pendrive by using eboostr to tranfer it's cache to the pen and virtually create more than 8gb ram without the need of the ram sticks!

He can`t even get to windows, he has another problem.

No restore points, no disk image ?

Re install windows or use the recovery partition, it`s an Asus laptop, you should have one.

That is not a good solution and cannot really replace RAM. All it does is give a bit more speed for paging than the HDD does.

I know the type of ram i need because it says on the Asus site like Roaster mentioned.

I meant if someone could pick one out from the site individually instead of showing me what site can buy it from.

I will give a little more info on desktop to what happens after turn it on. I remember it saying something but forgot what it was.

Is this ok for a home use desktop pc and not a server?

I brought some RAM before and it was similar appearance to this but it was ECC and was not compatible. So now im a little cautious to which will be compatible.

To post 2, 5.... I used to have 4gb RAM, and pc started freezing and giving blue screens. I tried different things to solve but no luck.

I took 2gb out and it had solved the issue.

I would only buy memory that is certified by the motherboard vendor. Not all memory is created equal, and just because it is the right DDR speed, for example, it doesn't mean that it will be 100% compatible.

Buying memory that is not certified is a crap shoot. It may work or may not.

I built a desktop using a Gigabyte Z77 motherboard and used GSkill memory that was on the certified list by Gigabyte for the motherboard. It works OK. I also built a second system using an ASUS Z77 motherboard and initially used the same GSkill memory. The ASUS worked but had some flakey problems and Blue Screens. I eventually replaced the GSkill with Corsair that was certified by ASUS and no more problems.

I don't see any more memory for the p5nd boar as it is very old now. The one i found seems to be the closest to good i can find. I will keep looking and might just end up going for this one and take a chance.

If you buy memory, purchase it somewhere that has a liberal return policy in case it does not work or work properly.

yes the last one i brought was two days ago. it was not compatible so i sent it back yesterday.
