HI EVERYONE
I HAVE LENOVO B460. MY LAPTOP IS DUAL CORE.I M SPECIFYING THE DETAIL OF SYSTEM
PROCESSOR- P6100 DUAL CORE
OS- 64 BIT WINDOW7
INSTALLED RAM -2GB DDR3
SUPPORTED MAX RAM- 8GB
MEMEORY SLOT- 2(1 FREE)

NOW I WANT TO UPGRADE RAM. BUT I M NOT DECIDING HOW MUCH I WILL INCREASED?
IF I INSTALL NEW 4 GB IN SYSTEM MEANS TOTAL 6 GB SO IT IS USEFUL. DUAL CORE CAN PROPER UTILIZE 6 GB. OR I WILL INCREASE ONLY 2GB MENAS TOTAL RAM IS 4GB. PLZ SUGGEST ME. WHAT WILL BE DIFFERENCE IN DUAL CORE WITH 4GB AND DUAL CORE WITH 8GB. IT IS USEFUL TO INCREASE RAM TILL 8GB OE JUST WASTAGE OF MONEY

Working with Video (compiling and editing)
Working with audio compiling and editing
Working with large photos

Go with 8G

Everything else, including gaming, 4G is plenty.

4GB should be good unless you have a particular application that is memory hungry (like Photoshop e.g.).
