So I just installed Windows 7 Home Premium (OEM disk) on to a new hard drive for a client. Now at boot up, an additional screen appears asking which to boot from. The options are;

Windows 7
Ramdisk Settings

How do I get rid of the "Ramdisk settings" option? The client is going to want to start his computer and go straight to the Windows 7 desktop. Let me know, thanks

Okay, so I did the first option from your link. What I see in there are two entries (which I should add more information). This computer is an HP Pavilion a6000n. It originally had Windows Vista, but the clients hard drive was dying (screeching sound when running).

So he wanted Windows 7 and of course a new drive. So I did that for the client, everything else is running fine in Windows 7.

So going back to what I see under the Boot tab, it says "Windows 7 (C:\Windows) : Current OS; Default OS" on the first line and then just below that it says "HP Recovery Manager (Windows)"

Is the second line the one I should delete? Or should I go to option 2 in the tutorial? Thanks for the quick reply.

Actually I did do that earlier, same results. Still shows RamDisk settings at boot up along with Windows 7. Option 2?
