I'm on Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit, and I ran the elevated command prompt/PowerShell as SYSTEM, not even Administrator, so pretty sure that's not the issue (other commands have worked fine). Might anyone know the issue? Thanks!

Here's the proper way to delete the Windows.old folder:

1. Click in Windows' search field, type Cleanup, then click Disk Cleanup.
2. Click the "Clean up system files" button.
3. Wait a bit while Windows scans for files, then scroll down the list until you see "Previous Windows installation(s)."
4. Check the box next to the entry, then make sure there are no other boxes checked (unless you do indeed want to delete those items). Click OK to start the cleanup.

Hey guys, I am aware how to properly delete that folder. For some reason, on my computer, it hasn't worked, as well as any other method. This is the method I have effectively now resorted to. There was only like one folder in there that was preventing the entire folder from being deleted.

Interestingly enough, I don't know what this program does, but I ended up using Unlocker v1.9.2 (64-bit) to delete it and it worked, effortlessly.

The error I mentioned seemed unrelated to the folder itself, so that's why I brought it up.
