Random Blue Screen

I have had several 'Blue Screen' reboots the past several days. I have included the .dmp file if anyone can help. It seemed to have something to do with the Network, so I have turned off 'sleep'. I an using 'Boinc' for folding, so maybe their is a conflict there.

Thanks

Microsoft always reccomends a clean intall as do mos of the ppl here with good reason. Can you upgrade from a legit copy of 7100 to a legit copy of 7600? yes

You are going to have to download 7600 its entirely different ISO than 7100

Did any of you notice:

7100 had a long ways to go. I do recommend he get a newer version.

Snuff.. 7100 is the only legal option at this point .. anything else is considered piracy...

Hey guys, I recently started having this problem after upgrading to Windows 7 RTM, usually when I went AFK, I had already set the monitor to never switch off, and also the hard drive. The problem continued all through last night, anytime I left the computer for more than 20 minutes it would BSOD and restart, the event log reports an event ID 41 and task catagory 63.

As of typing this it appears my problem is solved, this machine had been idling now for four hours and not a single BSOD (so far).
These are the steps I took and it appears to be working at this point.

1. go to control panel.
2. select power options
3. change plan settings for your particular plan
4. set turn off display = never
5. set put computer to sleep = never
6. select change advanced power settings
7. make sure the setting in the combo box at the top is the one you are using (or set them all)
8. turn off hard disk = never
9. wireless adapter settings / power saving mode / Setting = Maximum Performance
10. Sleep after = never
11. Allow hybrid sleep = off
12. Hibernate after = Never
13. Allow wake timers = Disable
14. USB settings / USB Selective Suspend = Disabled
15. power button = shut down
16. PCI Link state power management = off
17. Processor power management = passive
18. display = never
19. multimedia
a) PREVENT IDLING TO SLEEP
b) optimize video quality

I hope this helps some of you others out there

The power settings issue in Win7 seems (IMO) to revolve around Vista storage drivers being used on a Win7. Upgrading to Win7 drivers will usually remedy this problem (I had to buy a new RAID card in order to get Win7 drivers).

Welcome to SF!

First, please start your own thread. Each BSOD is different, and thus requires separate attention.

Second, that zip folder is corrupted somehow. Please follow these instructions and try again: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/83172-dump-files-upload-seven-forums.html
