Random BSOD 0x000001E

I'm trying to figure out what is causing this BSOD on another person's laptop. It doesn't seem to occur at any specific time. Sometimes it occurs right as the computer is booting up, but then other times it doesn't. There were no recent hardware changes, but I don't know what software has been loaded on it.

I have attached the most recent dump file but if I need to upload something else please let me know.

Usual causes:  Device driver, hardware, System service, compatibility, Remote control programs, memory, BIOS

An error (illegal instruction) occurred with the kernel, and couldn't be handled by the exception handler.

Run Driver Verifier to scan for any corrupted drivers which may be causing problems, this program works by running various stress tests on drivers, in order to produce a BSOD which will locate the driver; run for least 24 hours:

McAfee seems to be causing some problems, please remove this program using the official McAfee Removal Tool, and then install these free and proven alternatives which work well with Windows 7.

Install and perform full scans with:

Remove:

Start Menu\Programs\Driver Whiz

These automatic driver search and installation programs, usually install incorrect and unstable drivers, the best method with updating drivers is to visit the OEM site (this site being HP) or the manufacturer's site for driver updates, and install these via Windows or the installation wizard provided by the manufacturer.

Please also follow the other steps outlined, and then post if you have any problems or when you have completed all the steps.

After configuring the verifier and restarting, windows is unable to start until system repair fixes something. So what do I do now?

Wait until it has completed Startup Repair, this means that Windows has detected some kind of bootloader corruption somewhere.
