Solved Random BSOD after 1-2 hours 0x0000007A

Hi,

Yesterday I had multiple BSOD's all of them randomly after 1 hour or more and today exactly the same. Even letting the system idle will cause a BSOD. Have already scanned with AVG and malwarebytes (which were installed after the BSOD thing started). Also updated the video drivers to the latest stable version (13,1). Have tried to run a Memtest by burning an ISO to disk but I only see the Memtest pop-up for one sec before it crashes and restarts in an endless loop.

Normally I fix those things myself but there was no reason at all to start BSOD'ing. Normally you know you did something that could've caused it. Installed nothing last few days except 1 program which is now uninstalled without effect.

please help???

Go to Option Two, Point 2. Download the .reg file and merge it in registry by double clicking it.

Wait for another BSOD now. Upon the next bsod, search the .dmp files manually in the default path: C:\Windows\Minidump or %SystemRoot%\Minidump. Post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.

At the same time, update teh firmware of M4-CT128M4SSD2 from Crucial.com Product Downloads - Firmware Updates. Update the firmware of ST320LT007-9ZV142 from Download Firmware.

Also, try to update the BIOS of your Alienware M17xR3 from Product Selection | Dell US

Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known BSOD causer. Uninstall Daemon Tools at first. Then download SPTD standalone installer from Disk-Tools.com, and execute the downloaded file as guided below :

• Double click to open it.
• Click this button only:
• 
• If it is grayed out, as in the picture, there is no more SPTD in your system, and you just close the window.

Free up the startup. Those are not needed at all, but cause conflicts and problems including BSODs.

1. Click on the Start button
2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
3. Select the “Startup” tab.
4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus and the touchpad driver, SynTPEnh.
5. Apply > OK
6. Accept then restart.

Uninstall AVG using AVG Remover. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one. Scan the system for possible virus infection with these programs, too.

EDIT: DONT RUN CCLEANER BEFORE YOU UPLOAD THE CRASH DUMP AT ALL.

Thank you! have done everything that was asked. None of the scans revealed anything. Except one false positive but I removed it anyway to soothe you guys .

Have done all the firmware updates and all the other remaining stuff I had to do.


Just before your post it gave a BSOD. Have been waiting for the last few hours for the BSOD to show up but it didn't! This is not where the road ends though It could still be one of the vital pieces of software which I turned off in msconfig.exe. Have turned on some programs which I really need. If it gives BSOD again it's probably one of those. I think Razer Synapse could be the one since it is authorized to update automatically.

I'm waiting now for BSOD if it doesn't give one it's fixed and I thank you for helping me!
I will report back if it (doesn't) keep(s) working


edit: It didnt crash. It's fixed! I have no idea what the problem was but I think it could be the Daemon tools std or the firmware updates. THANKS!
