Random BSOD and Lockups

I'm getting close to my wits end have viewed several posts and threads to no avail. My computer will randomly lock up for sometimes a few seconds to maybe a few minutes, at times it will even blue screen on me. I've tried to reproduce the issue by running various stress and integrity tests on my memory (memtestx86) my cpu, and GPU. After passing all of the tests I called up asrock and intel and had them replace my motherboard and CPU. I've also reinstalled windows 3 times now and have run Sfc -scan on several occasions. I also uninstalled and removed driver software for my GPU, SoundBlaster, and GPU and waited for windows to find and reinstall, but issue persisted. I can run every stress test simultaneously and not have any problems, then open up Firefox to look for another thread to have it freeze up while typing in google search. I'm about to reinstall windows 7 back onto my SSD and am wondering if Windows 7 is not detecting my SSD correctly, or my BIOS settings (even at default) are not setup correctly for what I'm doing. Can someone chime in? I feel like this is something in the BIOS or that I need to load some drivers before hand to make this go correctly, but anything is helpful.

Gotta have at least 1!
That was one of the first things I've tried, but it was along time ago. (this is going on 3 months) and it may not happen for a few days, and then happen 4 times in the same day. However.... I recently did a clean install of the OS and before i had a chance to even update my drivers and software, I was still getting the lockups. It was immediately after the install. That's why I'm leaning towards Bios or driver issues (like its not recognizing the SSD properly when reformating the drive)

Also its pretty slim chance that its cross talk. My power cord go across the bottom and my 5 USB are loosly grouped up and run along the wall to various destinations. My cat6 cable is somewhat close to my power cable but it runs perpendicular (I know better), and I was experiencing problems before I even installed the chipset... I have to pretty much reinstall every driver when I'm done.

You know, I also have a SSD and I also experienced lockups, till I upgraded the firmware for it. I have a M4 256gb so it's not the same kind. But I would double check that your SSD is running the latest drivers, it plugged into SATA port 0 on your motherboard and that you enabled ESP on port 0, or whichever port your SSD is on, but I keep mines on port 0 of the motherboard. If you don't know which port that is, on the mobo, it should be labelled, like it is on mines. ESP is turned on via bios by the way. Oh and ESP works if you have it set to AHCI.

According to my mobo manual it *speeds up the detection of the connected SATA device* So I don't think it's something crucial at this point. Also thumbs up for using Mushkin. I use their ram. Great company, has been around since 1994. They have great support, might give them a ring if nothing else works and if it is indeed an SSD issue. Do you have a backup HDD with Windows 7 installed by any chance? I do that, I installed Windows 7 to an old 160gb HDD and put that aside in case my SSD failed, so I would have a backup option.

Do you have any extra SATA cables around, I would try to a different SATA cable to hook up the SSD to the motherboard.

Ya, I like them alot. There isnt any ESP on my Mobo, but I decided to move it to the marvel sata ports instead since it had an option for enable or disable e-sata, while the intel sata ports showed nothing. Maybe It works??? My mushkin is only 8 months old, and i got a 3 year warranty.

What kind of marvel pci-e card do you have? I use a Marvel 88SE9215 chipset which is Sata III 6gb/s. If yours is similar it should work.

Its marvell9xxx whichever came with the asrock x79 Extreme9. However I think its my video card. One thing I forgot about was that it will sometimes make my mouse look all corrupted. Instead of the normal sized white with black trim. It was change to one of the other icons (like when you go to slide a window and you get the double arrow for stretching, or the hand). My music will keep playing but eventually my mouse curser will like a larger yellow and pink version that looks like its based off of some 8 bit color mapping. It's really wierd. I can still click on stuff, but the icon will be totally jacked until i reboot or something.
