Hi,

I keep getting a BSOD with different error messages like Bad Pool Header, Bad Pool Caller, System Thread Eception Not Handled and System Service Exception.

I have followed the instructions and attached the SF Diagnostics File to this post.

Any help would be appreciated as it's driving me crazy!

Thanks.

Hello, and welcome to SevenForums!

---------

You can try to reinstall the driver by following these steps:

1) Hold CTRL+R on the keyboard.

2) Type in "devmgmt.msc" (without quotes)

3) Look for the device named something like "Microsoft USB Hub", it should be in the subset "Universal Serial Bus controllers".

4) Right click it, and click "Uninstall". If it asks you if you want to delete the files, check the box under it.

5) Restart your computer. If it is successful, it should say "Installing Device Driver Software" on the bottom task bar.

Please inform us of the results.

Best of luck,

PeregrineX

Hello again,

Whilst trying to do this I got another BSOD with the error Memory_Management.

This along with many other regular problems since this started happening like wifi not detecting networks, system errors, services stopped running....and more.

And sometimes the BSOD comes up during boot even before in windows.

Could this one problem be causing all this?

Thanks

I'll take a look at some of your other dumps as soon as I get home. Hopefully we can get a resolution.

EDIT: Try to run those steps in safe mode. To get there, repeatedly tap F8 while the computer is booting. Then scroll down to "Safe Mode With Networking", and press enter.

Hello,

I have tried your suggestion but got the Bad Pool Header error again.

This along with such and such program has stopped working, and other things not right going on.

Also for information, I have system restored to a previous date when the system was fine but still the same error.

Uninstall Comodo and install MS Security Essentials and MalwareBytes.

   Note
Make sure you uncheck the 'Enable Free Trial' box when installing.

Hello,

Thank you for your help.

Just to update.

It crashed even when on safe mode & once during boot up.

The latest error was Page Fault in Non Paged Area, and also one about Memory Management.

Comodo was installed and working on there fine for quite some time.

Right now I can't uninstall it off safe mode as I get a Blue Screen even on there before I can do anything.

Please help.

We'll need to look at the new logs to see what's happening. I can't check them at the moment as I'm at work, but if you can persevere with trying to boot up and collect the logs for the time being.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

Please find attached new logs that I managed to get after rebooting several times.

Notice the blue screen errors were usually a different message everytime.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Download and run MemTest86+ to test your RAM.

   Note
Run MemTest86+ for at least 8 passes. Ideally set it off before you go to bed and leave it overnight, we're looking for zero errors here. A single error will show something's going bad with your RAM.

Hello,

Thank you for your help.

I ran the test overnight and results are attached.

Am not sure if this means the mem is faulty and if so is it the ram stick or another menory like on the vga card?

Also if it is faulty, can I set something to not use that section of it or is there any way to fix it?

Thanks

Yes that shows your RAM is bad, it's the memory stick/s that's bad and nothing to do with your graphics. There is no way to fix it unfortunately and you can't turn off bad sectors, the only way forward is to replace it. Once it's faulty it's only going to get worse.

Do you know how many sticks of RAM you have fitted?
