Evening all,

I'm new to these forums but have seen the help you've given others so hoping I can be as lucky!

Last week I started getting random BSODs maybe once or twice a day, sometimes when the GPU/CPU was under load (gaming or video/photo editing software) but sometimes when the PC was idle. But they now occur just after start-up and I'm also getting a network connection error. When I boot in safe mode all is well. I haven't changed any hardware or drivers for a good long time so I'm baffled as to what might be the cause. :banghead:

Dump files are attached.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Gamer,

Thanks for the quick reply. I don't think the rapid mode driver is even essential for the SSD to function, but I'll try updating the driver before doing away with it altogether. Will post results in the morning.

Thanks again!

It says this for each dump file, I will keep digging, but for now try this.

Update

An update so far:

I started in safe mode, edited the registry to allow the MSIServer service and uninstalled Samsung Magician so the troublesome Rapid mode wouldn't be enabled. When I then booted in normal mode it seemed happy (it didn't later on!) but I instantly got a memory error from Windows. So I ran Memtest on each stick and one was returning errors for every pattern that was tested on it, the other has so far had 3 error free passes (so at least looks like the motherboard is OK). I've contacted Amazon and they're happy to RMA.

So... hopefully the RAM was the only cause of the problems. Once I get the new DIMMs I'll post an update.

Thanks again for your help, Gamer.

Got the new DIMMs and now all is fine, so this must've been the underlying problem that was upsetting the Samsung drivers as they would be RAM-heavy.

Thanks again for all your help.

Good to hear! And I do apologize for not replying to your post from 3 days ago. I did not see it.

But if you have more problems you know where to go :)
