Hi, I custom built my computer over five months ago and hadn't had any problems until about 13 days ago. It now randomly crashes and blue screens (bsod closing in about three seconds). Thankfully it did give me mini dump files and et cetera to share with you and I'd really appreciate any feedback you can give me.

As for when it happens, I'm not too sure. I could just be talking to someone on Skype and it would crash or I could be playing League of Legends and it will blue screen without warning in the middle of the game.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, do you get BSOD's in safe mode?

Memtest86+

Run Memtest86+ for at least 8-10 passes. It may take up to 20 passes to find problems. Make sure to run it once after the system has been on for a few hours and is warm, and then also run it again when the system has been off for a few hours and is cold. How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+

   Note
Pay close attention to part 3 of the tutorial in order to rule the faulty RAM stick out.

   Tip
Do this test overnight.

Drivers:

Please update your Microsoft Intellipoint Mouse Driver to its latest Driver Reference Table - NuidFltr.sys
Code:
NuidFltr.sys Fri May 8 14:53:31 2009

   Tip
If you have an SSD, make sure the following are up to date:

  1. SSD firmware
  2. BIOS Version
  3. Chipset Drivers
  4. Hard disk controller drivers/SATA drivers
  5. If you have a Marvell IDE ATA/ATAPI device, make sure the drivers are up to date from the Intel site or Marvell site and not from your motherboard/vendor support site.

Thanks to Writhziden for the steps above.
