"Hardware memory error" -- you probably have a bad memory stick. If you remove one stick, or one pair of sticks, and power up the computer, and the error disappears, then what you removed is bad. Put it back in and remove the other, and see if the problem comes back.

Sometimes you need to install memory in pairs, so hopefully you can remove some and test it with the remaining memory.
