Random BSOD problem

Hello Everybody,


I am getting random blue screens for different errors including win32k.sys and memory management.

specs:

• Gigabye GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3
• Intel Core i5-2500 processor
• Markvision DDR3 4GB 1333MHz
• Radeon HD 5670 Series graphics card
• Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
• The age of my system is 7 months old

The reports hint toward hardware, but also name a number of drivers as the cause. Lets rule out drivers so we can concentrate on hardware if necessary
Driver Verifier
I'd suggest that you first backup your data and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Windows 7 Startup Repair feature).

In Windows 7 you can make a Startup Repair disk by going to Start....All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc - with Windows Vista you'll have to use your installation disk or the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu .

Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation (an estimate on my part).

If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

I enabled the driver verifier and after nearly 30 hours of nomal use, there hasn't any problem and the system didn't crash.

I've ran memtest on each individual stick for over 6 passes each and with both of them for 10 passes, but no errors.

To determine it its harware can you give me as much detail as possible about what you were doing when this happens?

Download speedfan to check for possible overheating.
Take stress test
Prime95
Finally go to the website of your hard drive manufactuer and test hard drive for errors. This is beginning to look like a hardware problem.

I Installed speedfan and in the S.M.A.R.T. tab, clicked in Perform an in-depth online analysis of this hard disk and in the webpage received this message:

Troubled attributes:
Attribute End To End Error Count is failing now! Its current value is 1, the worst value was 1 and the threshold is 99. According to the manufacturer, this is an advisory condition.

SERIOUS ISSUE : your hard disk has 53 reallocated sectors. Hard disks do have spare sectors (usually from 256 up to 2560) used to replace bad ones. This remapping operation is transparent to the end user. Anyway, this can lead to degraded performances (because remapped sectors are in different places of the disk than the original ones and the head needs additional moving). If reallocated sectors grow over time, you might encounter some serious troubles. A backup of the most important data is suggested anyway.

NOTE : your hard disk Power On Hours Count attribute current value (75) is below the normal range (99 - 100) reported for your specific hard disk model. Basically your hard disk was powered on for more than the maximum time the average user did. This means that either all of the reports collected are from hard disks that were not powered on for too long (this is realistic for recent models) or that your hard disk is becoming old. Usually this is not considered as a pre-failure advisory, but you should check whether you want to replace the hardware or keep an eye on its performances over time.

This means that my HD have problems, and maybe, need to buy a new one?

I will run Prime95 stress test today at night.

Sorry for the long for reply, my monitor stopped working and had to buy a new online, and only arrived today.

My system frozen after 2 min in prime95, in blend test, and after that, the PC didn't started again with dual channel, I needed to put a memory stick in another slot for the PC start again.

Sounds like your memory has problems under stress, which might be the cause of your BSODs

Dont know this test says you are OK. Take it again and lets see what happens.

I taked the tests again with 10 passes in each stick and 8 passes with both of them, and today I received a new BSOD.
