Hello. I have been having random BSOD for the past 4-5 months. The BSOD usually happens during gaming, usually while playing games that are a bit harder to run, like for example Overwatch. It started about 5 months ago and it seems to go away for a while and then start back up again (by this I mean it'll happen every day for weeks, but then stop happening for weeks). For example it started 5 months ago and was pretty bad for a few weeks. I decided to reinstall windows and it didn't fix but then eventually it stopped happening even though I didn't do anything (as far as I know).
After a month or two of no BSOD it started happening a bit, but it wasn't as bad as before, by this I mean it happened for maybe a week and the crashes were way less common.
For the past two months I wasn't having any problems, but now I am starting to get these BSOD ever since two weeks ago. It doesn't happen every time I play games. Also sometimes it happens 1 or 2 minutes after closing a game. What happens is I will play a game and during the game it will freeze and then the BSOD will happen. It usually says errors like 'Memory Management' or 'irql not less or equal'. But recently it has also been saying 'pfn list corrupt' (it never said this when it used to happen a few month ago).
Aside from that, it usually works fine if I'm not gaming. Recently I've noticed my start up has been extremely slow, starting around the same time as the BSOD started happening again, and I guess that might be related to the BSOD but I don't know.

The games I've experienced BSOD on are Overwatch, Path of Exile, Rocket League, but something like osu! or runescape hasn't caused a blue screen.

Also I have tried running Driver Verifier and I would always get a BSOD on start up and it would give me the 'irql not less or equal' error.

Thank you for any help.

    • Uncheck all other services
    • Go to the tab startup

 RAM TEST

Run MemTest86+ to analyse your RAM. MemTest86+ - Test RAM - Windows 7 Forums

   Note
picture.php

MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 complete passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.

Make a photo of the result and post it.

Addition:
If errors show up you can stop the test, remove all sticks but 1 and test this single stick in each slot for 8 passes or until errors show, switch sticks and repeat.
If errors show up and you see them a lot later, no problem, the errors don't affect the test.
