Hello my computer appears to BSOD randomly.

I haven't really noticed any particular activity which set these off and am at a loss of what to do.

I'm using a retail copy of windows 7 with service pack 1 and I have attached the BSOD files

Many thanks

Gigabyte Utilities
  • Many of us on the forums actually do not recommend automated optimization tools for Windows 7. Windows 7 does a much better job of handling its own optimization than its predecessors did. We especially do not recommend registry cleaning as an "optimization" step because automated registry cleaning causes more harm to the registry than it actually repairs.

In the future, if you need help optimizing Windows 7, please post a thread in Performance & Maintenance - Windows 7 Forums or follow the tutorial enclosed in that forum to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...ws-7-a.html?filter[2]=Performance Maintenance.

  • Remove any Gigabyte utilities. Many of these are problematic because they provide software overclocking for the hardware, and the hardware interfaces can cause instability on some systems.

Crashes caused by your USB wireless network adapter, which is old and has old drivers. USB wireless network adapters often cause instability because USB cannot provide the power needed for the devices to function properly. Couple that with an old driver, and you are almost guaranteed to have blue screen crashes. Please replaced your USB device with an up to date PCI adapter.

Heya

I've uninstalled both the kingsoft software and all the gigabyte stuff although I did have problems uninstalling the gigabyte smart6 program, it would cause my computer to bsod every time I tried to uninstall it the normal way, I eventually managed it in safe mode using revo uninstaller.

I will update my network adapter as soon as possible.

Thank you for the help and hopefully this will sort it!

No problem. Glad you were able to get the Gigabyte utilities removed. If you have further crashes, upload the .dmps to make sure the Gigabyte drivers were completely removed.
