I keep randomly having BSOD on WIN 7 x64 when i left it on for long periods of time without using it. Sometimes though rarely, the whole OS will not respond to anything while i'm using and i have little choice but to use the reboot button. I have no idea what causes this issue. This has been happening since i got this computer roughly 1 year plus ago but i didn't really bothered till recently as it's getting more frequent. Was hoping someone can shed some light on to what is giving this issue to me.

The crash is due to your Marvell controller drivers for your hard disk. The drivers appear to be corrupted.

First uninstall through Device Manager. Log in as an administrative user -> Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Device Manager -> Expand IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers -> Right click the Marvell device -> Click Uninstall (Do not hit OK after clicking Uninstall) -> Put a tick in the box to delete the driver software for this device -> Click OK -> Restart the computer if asked.

Download the latest drivers for the Marvell Controllers device: ASUS - Motherboards- ASUS P7P55D-E PRO -> Windows 7 64bit -> SATA ->

did that but unable to reinstall after installing it. reverted back to sata 2 ports and skipping out on marvell controllers.

Really appreciate the help on finding out what is causing the random bsod and freezing. Thanks a lot!

No problem. How is the system performing at present without the Marvell controllers? The system may not need the controllers to work, so installing them may not be required for Windows to run smoothly.

Well actually it seems to be faster and more stable. No more random BSOD or freezing so far. Seems to work nicely! :D

Thanks for the help that the marvell controllers are the main issue for it!
