Random BSOD while doing nothing, after startup, playing games

Recently, my computer has started freezing up more often, sometimes it gives out a 'dragged-out' sound before dying(in typical BSoD's) and sometimes it doesn't. Seldom do I get a BSoD file/problem alert from it if it freezes up.

The freezing up/BSoD may happen anytime, sometimes right after start-up, while playing games(league of legends), or just surfing the web.

In addition, sometimes, when I start-up, my computer fails to detect the graphic card, and I need to plug the video cable from my graphics card to the motherboard to see the screen.

Do kindly tell if you need any other information.

Bug check 116, go through http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lo...op-0x116-video_tdr_error-troubleshooting.html

Did you try another graphics card on the computer and seen if it crashes? Does the motherboard have on-board VGA slot? How does it work if connected there?

I only have a PCI 2 slot for the graphics card, no specific VGA slot, neither do I have another graphics card to test it at hand

I belive I'm using a BIOSTAR A780L3G(read off the label on the board (A78LBM3S R01P 1019) and googled it).

I've ran the FurMark Test.. my system froze after minute or so after I stopped the FurMark Test(I was afraid of damaging the hardware and stopped it as it was reaching 70 C) - the temperature was 52C when it froze.

Nothing wrong was found with sfc.exe /scannow

Prime95 TortureTest was ran for 9h19mins with 389,343 & 381 tests on each processor, 0 errors & warnings.

I'll try the HD diagnostic when i come back from school later.
